New York, 2011. A fifteen-year-old girl is crucified in a suburb on the outskirts. Miren Triggs, a Manhattan Press investigative journalist, receives a strange envelope. Inside, the photo of another teenager gagged with an annotation: “GINA PEBBLES, 2002”. Miren Triggs and Jim Schmoer, a former journalism professor, will follow in the footsteps of the girl in the picture as they investigate the New York crucifixion. It will take them all to a religious institution with many secrets and a unique riddle full of suspense.
